Hi special people….(PLEASE read whose Speaking below…AMAZING Stories!)

“One of a KIND Stories…Celebrating the Everyday Hero” – 12 Stories of tough Challenges, life-changing Choices, and amazing Courage!!!....is almost here! Last year was probably THE most profound, inspiring, and moving day of my life! Bring lots of Kleenex!

Look whose Speaking (many have been big stories in the News)...

1. Antonio Joao...he was orphaned at 10 years old after both his parents were killed in Angola (South Africa)...at 16 he was a stowaway on a ship and jumped off in Vancouver and stayed in the forest behind Cap College…he finally wandered into town and was taken in by Jim Siemens, his immigrant worker.

2. Carling Muir...is the leading scorer of her Langara College Basketball Team…she was diagnosed, after having a seizure, with a brain tumor, and is inspiring her Team and others by continuing to play while undergoing chemotherapy!

3. Mayor Sam Sullivan...sharing how he lost the use of his legs in a skiing accident.

4. Minke de Vos...just a few years ago Minke had a full heart transplant and is now dancing and teaching dance.

5. Don Kirchner...in a U.S. prison on drug trafficking charges for 25 years – started a Program for youth on honor and respect…the Prosecutor was the catalyst for Don getting out of jail, did the forward for his book, and now they are doing a feature film…his book has a testimonial on the back cover by John McCain and Barry Goldwater!

6. Chief Leanne Joe...amazing stories of challenges within the Squamish Nation community.

7. Lora Kwandibens....a very moving and inspiring First Nation story of her criminal history and gang-affiliation and her ongoing challenge of getting her 18 month old child back!

8. Eden MacDonald...started a Program called AIM in Sri Lanka after the tsunami hit to help the people through this very traumatic time!

9. Rex Weyler...got involved with Greenpeace at it’s beginnings as a journalist…he recently wrote the book on Greenpeace and he has done a way too many things to name here….he is great!!

TOGETHER we can make a HUGE difference in this world!!
